The World's Best Brownies
In true K-Kitchen design, the recipe and directions are first so you can get right to the good stuff. If you want a little more info, here it is:
This recipe was modified from one I found last year while looking for spicy brownies. I love them both, but I think when you’re serving more than you and yours, the cayenne can be a little hot! I got the recipe from Baker By Nature, and she’s awesome, as are these brownies.
This will be great for your Super Bowl food bashing or for Valentines day for yourself! I cut them very small, around 1 inch square, because they last longer, and I find that I eat less at one sitting this way…it’s like serving dinner on a salad plate so you don’t serve yourself too much. As is the case with all chocolate, but especially dark, these treats go great with coffee and red wine, if you’re into that!
You may be wondering why someone who’s supposed to help you get and stay healthy is sending out a dessert recipe that has no replaced sugars or flours or butter. It’s a good question and here’s my answer.
We all know that brownies are something we eat occasionally and in moderate amounts. We don’t live on them. Therefore, they are easily enjoyed because they are special and different and we don’t have to worry and eating all of them because there’s no shortage or emergency that can make us feel desperate about food. This could be the case for all foods that are considered unhealthy by some. And if you and I have every had discussions about eating habits, you would know that I don’t agree with deprivation, restriction and eliminated food groups. We have to be able to make food choices that are sustainable for the long term if we’re ever going to be “healthy”.
Unless you’re allergic to something in these treats, I hope you’ll try them because they will make you smile, spark a fun conversation about your favorite dessert and probably make you more friendly. 🥰
Enjoy!!
